About Video2Editor

A small set of video tools that do their work on your device instead of ours.

Why this site exists

Almost every free video converter works the same way: you upload your file to a server you know nothing about, wait in a queue behind everyone else, and download a result that often carries a watermark. For a holiday clip that might be fine. For a client's footage, a recorded meeting, a photo of a document or a video of your family, it isn't.

Modern browsers can decode, edit and re-encode video on their own. Video2Editor is built entirely on that: your file is read from your disk, processed in the tab, and handed back to you. It never travels anywhere, which is why there is no queue, no upload bar, no file size limit imposed by us, and no account.

What we can and can't do

We would rather tell you the limits up front than have you discover them halfway through a job.

How the site is paid for

Advertising around the tools, not the tools themselves. There is no paid tier, no feature held back, and no limit on how often you can use anything here. Because processing happens on your device, our running costs are just hosting a few pages.

Getting in touch

If a tool misbehaves, tell us which one, which browser, and roughly how long the video was — that's usually enough to identify the problem. The contact page has the details.
