Bug reports are welcome, and the more specific the better.

Reporting a problem

If a tool didn't work, four details will usually let us reproduce it straight away:

Please don't send us your video file. We can't accept it and we don't need it — the details above are more useful, and your footage should stay with you.

Email

hello@video2editor.com

Replace this with the address you actually monitor before publishing the site.

Suggesting a tool

Tell us the job you were trying to do rather than the feature you had in mind. Knowing that you were trying to get a 40 MB clip under a 16 MB limit is more useful than a request for a specific setting.

Common answers before you write

The preview is black and nothing happens

Your browser can't decode that file's codec. This is common with MOV files from some cameras and with MKV. Convert to MP4 (H.264) with any converter and it will work.

Processing seems stuck

Tools that re-encode video run in real time. A ten-minute clip really does take about ten minutes, and the progress bar moves slowly. Trim it first if you can.

I got a WebM and I need an MP4

Chrome, Edge and Firefox write WebM. Safari on a Mac or iPhone will produce MP4 from the same tool.
