Video2Editor does not upload, receive, store or process your video, audio or image files. Every tool on this site runs inside your own web browser using the video, canvas and media encoding features built into it. Your file is read from your device, processed in the browser tab, and saved back to your device when you download the result.
Because of this, we never have access to your files, cannot see their contents, cannot recover them, and have nothing about them to retain, share or sell. Closing the browser tab discards everything. You can verify this yourself by disconnecting from the internet after a tool page has loaded — the tools continue to work.
One tool, the AI Background Remover, downloads a machine learning model from a public content delivery network the first time you use it. The model is downloaded to your browser and runs locally. Your video is not sent to that network or to anyone else.
We collect standard, non-identifying technical information that any website receives when you visit: your browser type and version, device type, operating system, approximate region, referring page and the pages you view. This is used to understand which tools are useful and to fix problems.
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect names, email addresses or phone numbers unless you choose to send them to us through the contact page.
This site uses your browser's local storage to remember one thing: whether you chose light or dark mode. That preference stays on your device and is not transmitted.
If you drop a file on the home page and then choose a tool, the file is briefly held in your browser's own IndexedDB storage so the tool can open it, and removed as soon as it does. This too stays entirely on your device.
Third parties described below may set their own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the tools on this site will still work.
This site displays advertising, which is how it is funded. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
Advertising partners receive only the standard information described above. They never receive your video files, because those files never leave your device.
We may use a privacy-respecting analytics service to count visits and see which tools are used. Any such service receives only aggregate, non-identifying information.
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Because we do not hold personal data about you beyond standard server logs and analytics, there is generally nothing for us to export or delete. If you have contacted us by email, you may ask us to delete that correspondence at any time.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page. Material changes to how the tools handle files would be announced on the home page as well, though the core design — processing on your device — is not something we intend to change.
